A/Prof Michael Higgins
A/Prof. Michael Higgins completed his PhD degree at the University of Melbourne, Australia in 2003. He was a research fellow and senior research fellow at the Centre for Research on Adaptive Nanodevices and Nanostructures, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland in 2003-07.
A/Prof. Higgins is currently an ARC Australian Research Fellow in the Australian Institute for Innovative Materials, University of Wollongong, Australia. He is Chief Investigator on both the ARC Centre of Excellence for Electromaterials Science (ACES) and the ARC Bluescope Research Hub (and Program Leader). His research interest is the cellular-material interface, nanobionics, electroceuticals and the application of scanning probe microscopy techniques to study biological-material systems.
