Ongoing projects
(1) Intergranular Magnetic Coupling in Multiphase Nanocrystalline Magnetic Materials and Its Role in Improving Their Soft and Hard Magnetic Properties (CI: Suzuki, 2000 ARC QEII Fellowship)
(2) Giant Magnetic Hardening in Flash-annealed Nanocomposite Magnets (CI: Suzuki, 2002 ARC Discovery-Project)
(3) Directional Atomic Ordering in Nanocrystalline Soft Magnetic Materials: Development of Ultra-efficient Magnetic Core Materials (CIs: Suzuki and Cashion, 2004 ARC Discovery-Project)
 

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

(1) People: 2 full-time academic staff, 2 postgraduate students and 1/2 support staff
(2) Budget: about 200k per year
