Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

Our research program is focused primarily on the development of theoretical and computational methods for relativistic atomic and molecular physics, quantum chemistry and molecular QED.
The nanoscience part of the group research program:
- The caluclations of X-ray form factors for nanoclusters and amorphous materials;
- Modelling of scattering effects for nanoclusters, molecules, atoms;
- Theoretical studies of electronic and magnetic properties in nanowires and clusters from transition metals.  

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

3 research fellows (senior research fellow, post-doctoral fellow level B, post-doctoral fellow level A)  

Nanotechnology research facilities:

Group conducts a variety of theoretical studies in coherent X-ray science and physics of intense laser field - matter interactions, using made-in-home and a third party software. Group has access to the School of Physics (the University of Melbourne) computational facilities, the APAC facilities, and owns a high-speed 8-processor workstation.
