Current Research Activities

Currently working as a Research Scholar at Queensland Micro-and Nanotechnology Centre. The thrust of research is "computational thermomechanical modelling of a compact high-performance electric swash-plate compressor" at the moment. The research is expected to produce experimentally validated multiphysics fluid dynamics models for linear and swash-plate compressors and a demonstration prototype of the novel linear electric compressor. Overheating is one of the key factors limiting the output performance/capacity of electric motors and therefore will be important for high power electric compressors. An important part of this research will be understanding and analysing the heat sources for the new compressor concept. Ultimately, improving the flow path for heat removal will inevitably lead to higher performances.
