  • Department of Education, Science and Training Survey

The Prime Minister's Science, Engineering and Innovation Council (PMSEIC) has requested an audit of publicly funded research into the health, environmental and social impact of nanotechnology. The Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources will review public comment on these issues and DEST will approach relevant organisations to survey publicly funded Australian Research. The outcomes of the audit will assist the National Nanotechnology Strategy Task force in identifying any gaps in the existing regulatory framework and enable Australians to link more effectively to newly-established international databases such as those developed by the Woodrow Wilson Centre in the United States.

A copy of this survey will be posted on the ARCNN webpage under LINKS category OTHER. If you have any difficulties with downloading this survey, Please contact Illonka. She will send you an electronic version of the survey. This survey should only take about 10 minutes to complete and is due by cob Friday 7 April 2006. Please send the completed survey to Stephen Utick at DEST on email Stephen.Utick@dest.gov.au Telephone 6240 9927.
