Nanoparticle Measurement Australia

The National Measurement Institute, in conjunction with the University of Technology, Sydney, is holding a one-day workshop to discuss challenges and priorities for nanoparticle measurement and chracterisation in Australia. The even aims to

• bring together colleagues and experts from industry, research and government;
• discuss and identify key measurment issues and national objectives;
• present the results of an Australian particle size measurement comparison.

Presentations will examine the latest in nanoparticle measurement technology, current work in nanotoxicological research, the development of international standards for nanotechnology and the new NMI nanometrology program. Speakers include Professor Paul Mulvaney (University of Melbourne), A/Prof Paul Wright (NanoSafe Australia) and Dr John Miles and Dr Åsa Jamting (NMI). A discussion forum will enable participants to participate in the development of a roadmap for nanoparticle measurement and characterisation in Australia.
