Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

Sustainable enery system, particularly recycling carbon dioxide into hydrocarbons by photocatalytic Process.

Air pollution prevention and emissions control, particularly VOCs both in indoor and industrial emissions, using sythesised thin-film and pellet forms of calaysts.

Water quality and wastewater management, particularly to reduce organic matter from drinking water.

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

The team consists of two staff who are knowledgeable in photocatalytic process and renewable enegry system. Currently, we have three PhD students working on reseach projects in related to nanotechnology.

Nanotechnology research facilities:

Deakin University has an Environmental Engineering laboratory which has equipped with facilities for research conducted by staff, research fellows and post graduate students, as well as for training undergraduate students during practical lessons. These facilities include GC-MS, GC-FID and FEG-SEM.
