Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

There are currently 15 members of the Centre for Molecular Simulation engaged in nanotecholgy related research (3 senior members of academic staff, 4 post-doctoral researchers and 8 PhD students). The work is partly funded by the Australian Research Council Discovery Project scheme.  

Nanotechnology research facilities:

The main on site facility is the Swinburne Supercomputer Cluster with a theoretical peak speed of over 2 teraflops. In addition, the Centre has computing allocations from the Victorian and Australian Partnerships for Advanced Computing.
