Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

1. Currenty working on the R&D of micromachined thin film Si solar cells,
2. use of porous alumina templates for the epitaxial growth of nanao-structures on a wide range of substrates,
3. defect engineering of low-dimensional (quantum) structures – mostly electrical, optical and structural characterization of defects

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

Number of people – 6, Budget (estimate) ~ $2million/year
