Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

block copolymer self assembly at surfaces
nanoparticle synthesis and motion in confined geometries
Layer-by-layer assemblies in biological applications
engineered polymeric surfaces for enhanced biological interactions
nanoparticle delivery systems
phase separation of block copolymer systems  

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

10 people (4 post docs, 6 PhD students), annual budget ~ $500,000.  

Nanotechnology research facilities:

QCM, rheometers, microPIV, fluorescence imaging, photlithography, nanoimprint lithography, laser lithography, dip pen lithography, microfabrication and nanofabrication suite (70 m2 clean room).
