Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

(1) Molecular dynamics simulation on crack propagation, crack healing and thin film growth;
(2) Enhancement of bond strength using nanoparticles in the accumulative roll bonding process;
(3) Virtual calibration of atomic force microscope to determine friction;
(4) Multiscale modelling from nano scale to micro scale.  

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

Centre for Engineering Mechanics has 5 Research Fellows and 3 Ph.D. students in this research field.
