Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:
Molecular Electronics and Sensors Project: fundamental studies into the mechanism of electronic conduction through molecules using both a theoretical and experimental approach.Biomimetic Engineering Project: new physics and devices based on self-assembled nanostructures. Current research emphasis is on developing commercial applications based on metal nanoparticles in the area of printed electronics, sensors, supercapacitors, nano-actuators, and separation membranes.
GPCR Transductosome Biosensor Project: investigating the development of novel transduction mechanisms for producing G-protein coupled receptor sensor arrays for drug screening.
