Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

1)Synthesis of nanoparticles (silver, gild, copper etc) using ecofriendly green methods.
2)Development of silver nanoparticle based antimicrobial formulations for various applications.
3)Application of nanoparticles for the detection of various analytes.
4)Gold nanoparticles for drug delivery.  

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

Presently, two scientific officers are working under the guidance of Dr. J. Arunachalam.  

Nanotechnology research facilities:

Available facilities are UV-Visible spectrophotometer, SEM,AAS, ICP-AES, ICP-MS, HPLC, GD-MS, Tandetron,Microbiology and Biotechnology labs,Animal cell culture and Clean room facilities etc.
