Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

We focus on innovative chemical, microbiological and nano-technological approaches to understand the effects of pollutants within the aquatic environment and soils, and renewable green energy sources. The cluster focuses equally on the development of enabling technological solutions for environmental assessment, remediation and new sources of renewable energy.

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

Centre for Clean Environment and Energy brings together a team of highly motivated research staff and students from multiple disciplines with extensive expertise including Environmental Chemistry, Pollution Chemistry and Toxicology, Environmental Microbiology, Geochemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Sensing Technology, Electrochemistry and Applied Electrochemistry, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Photochemistry and Photocatalysis, Membrane Science, Functional Materials and Nanotechnology. Such a coherent multidisciplinary team with synergistically assembled broad expertises equip the cluster with the strength and capability to conduct excellent research on large-scale, complex inter- and multi-disciplinary environmental fields.
