surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy
nanoparticle preparation and characterisation
chiroptical nanosensors
biological applications

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

I have recently moved to Australia from the UK (University of Manchester). There my group\'s nanotechnology research typically involved at any time 2 PhD students full time and part time work by another staff member or student. This work was funded by EPSRC and the RSC.

Nanotechnology research facilities:

Chiroptical spectroscopies (vibrational CD at RMIT and Raman optical activity in Manchester) for developing chiral nanosensors
Experience with nanoparticle preparation for biological research
