Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:
Production and in vitro characterization of nano-delivery systems for oral delivery using a range of analytical techniques and cell lines. We are interested in modification of nano-delivery systems to enhance uptake using cell penetrating peptides and understanding the interaction at the nano-bio interface. In vivo assessment of formulations.
Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:
Approximately 4 postgraduate research students.
Nanotechnology research facilities:
Preparation and characterisation (including spectroscopic analysis) of nanoparticles. Cell culture facilities and access to zebrafish facilities for in vivo assessment of formulations.
