Nanotechnology Research Programs/Activities:

Protein, peptide and DNA functionalised surfaces. Bioactive and multifunctionalised nanoparticles and nano thin films.  

Scale of Nanotechnology Research Effort:

15 students, 5 post-doctoral fellows, 2 professors  

Nanotechnology research facilities:

Plasma based fabrication/synthesis equipment. Comprehensive surface characterization tools: XPS; ATR-FTIR microscope; UV-visible-IR spectroscopic ellipsometry; contact angle gonimetry; electron spin resonance spectroscopy; stylus profilometry.
