Current Research Activities

Transmission electron microscopy:
1) Application of analysis techniques including electron diffraction, high resolution electron microscopy (HREM), electron energy-loss spectroscopy (EELS), energy-filtered TEM (EFTEM), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM);
2) Development and application of novel TEM techniques, particularly for the quantitative analysis of TEM data.

Current nanotechnology applications include structural and compositional studies of:
1) Nanostructured semiconductor materials
2) Nanoparticles/nanopowders
3) Carbon nanotubes
