Current Research Activities
Dr. Beniamino Sciacca is a early career scientist involved in the development of new platforms and approaches for the realisation of optical biosensors capable of addressing challenges such as early cancers diagnosis, pathogens detection, for the application in medical diagnostics. He has expertise in the domain of biosensing, optics, surface plasmon resonance, surface functionalization, immunoassays, synthesis and characterisation of nanostructured porous materials.
