Current Research Activities

Development of microcavity/microlaser based devices for quantum information and sensing applications. The main focus is on the fabrication and characterization of optical microresonator based devices, and the theory of operation of these devices. Apart from solving the fabrication issues, this research seeks to understand techniques of mode control in microcavities, the dynamics of rapidly varying atom/cavity coupling, and decoherence processes in coupled atom/cavity systems.
