Current Research Activities

My research involves the enhancement of the functional properties of thin film polyamide composite membranes used in desalination. The functional properties include antioxidant, chlorine tolerance, antifouling and antimicrobial. The path to achieve these properties involves plasma grafting of nanoscale functional groups to the surface of polyamide. Detail of the work involves surface sensitive characterisation.
