Current Research Activities

My research interests centre on molecular recognition, supramolecular and bioorganic chemistry and in the application of computational techniques to the structural prediction and visualisation of macromolecules and macromolecular assemblies. Current projects include:
* The design and synthesis of chemical and biological sensors for applications in the environmental
and medical sciences
* The development of new synthetic methodologies for the synthesis of dendritic macromolecular
architectures based on the emerging area of ‘click’ chemistry
* applications of functional molecular surfaces
