Current Research Activities

I am a co-ordinator of the Energy Storage Materials Research Group at the Institute for Superconducting and Electronic Materials, the University of Wollongong. My research interests are in energy storage area including the fabrication, characterisation, and applications of the materials for hydrogen storage, lithium ion battery, fuel cells and capacitors. I currently hold an ARC Discovery Project of “Hydrogen storage materials for energy conversion application”, and two ARC Linkage Projects of “Lithium/sulphur rechargeable battery for power applications” and “Large scale rechargeable battery for power storage and electric vehicle applications”.  

Existing Linkages

I currently collaborate with the University of Cincinnati (USA), Brookhaven National Lab (USA), Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Korea), Andong National University (Korea), Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China), Nankai University (China), University of Fribourg (Switzerland), Eindhoven University of Technology (Netherland), and Kiev National University (Ukraine) in overseas, and the University of Technology Sydney, ANSTO and Monash University in Australia.
