Current Research Activities

1. 10/2015- Present: Design nanostructured electro-catalysts for water-splitting
2. 11/2013- 07/2015: Energy storage and conversion materials, such as supercapacitor electrode materials and hydrogen evolution reaction electro-catalysts.
3. 07/2012-11/2013: Synthesis, structural analysis and investigation of heat transportation properties of various kinds of single crystals, including (1) organic superconductors (TMTSF)2ClO4, (2) weakly coupled antiferromagnetic spin -1/2 chain (C5H12N)CuBr3, (3) quantum spin liquid EtMe3Sb[Pd(dmit)2]2 and (4) several new MOF single crystals.
4. 09/2011-06/2012: Preparation of CdS nanocrystals and conversion to Bi2S3 nanoflakes via ion exchange by the ethylene glycol refluxing method.
5. 06/2010-09/2011: Preparation and investigation of the properties of functional composite oxide lanthanum cobaltate.
