Current Research Activities
Over last 5 years, I have developed a state-of-the-art biomechanical nanotool (Biomembrane force probe ‘BFP’) and established the first of its kind in Australia at the Charles Perkins Centre to examine single-molecule force sensing principles that are significantly implicated in cardiovascular diseases and therapeutic intervention. Reflecting my steep upward career trajectory, I have published numerous papers in high impact journals (13 first/co-first authors), i.e. eLife, Nature Communication, PNAS, Journal of Biological Chemistry, Molecular Biology of the Cell, Blood, and Biophysical Journal across the disciplines of biomechanics and mechanobiology, biophysics, hematology and cell biology.
