Current Research Activities
My research explores fluid inertia, fluid rheology, and microchannel geometry to implement the accurate manipulation of micro/nano particles in microfluidic systems. The accurate manipulation and separation of micro/nano particles (such as cells, bacteria and virus) promises a vast potential for applications in clinical diagnosis and biomedical research. The nature of my research activities is highly interdisciplinary, aiming not only at exploring and elucidating the fundamental physics that could expand the boundary of current knowledge, but also at addressing real-life challenges in biomedicine to change the way disease to be diagnosed, monitored and treated.
