Current Research Activities
Dr. Weijian Chen is currently a post-doctoral researcher under the supervision of Prof. Baohua Jia and Dr. Xiaoming Wen, on the project of photo-physics of novel energy harvesting/light emitting materials. He was awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Photovoltaic Engineering at the University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), Australia in 2018, specializing in spectroscopic characterization of photovoltaic/light emitting materials and applications. During his PhD candidature, he also worked as a visiting scientist at Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in 2016, funded by German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). He graduated with Bachelor of Engineering in Opto-Electronics (Elite Student Program at Honors School), Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), China in 2014.
