Current Research Activities

A/Prof Yong is an expert in the design and control of nanopositioning systems. Her recent work has focused on the design of cantilevers with integrated sensors and actuators for multifrequency atomic force microscopy. A/Prof Yong is also broadly familiar with the modeling, design and control of piezoelectric systems, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and small-scale and soft robotics.
