Current Research Activities
I am currently a PhD Candidate in Chemical Engineering. My main focus in this PhD programme is on polymer synthesise for membrane fabrication. Polysulfone as a common polymer in membrane fabrication has been under attention in my project. The most important point of my project is to synthesize this polymer using a recently developed semi-micro fluidic device called Vortex Fluidic Device (VFD). The VFD has been invented and developed by Prof. Colin Raston in Flinders University, South Australia. Numerous applications have been introduced for using the VFD in a time and cost effective processes, due to the scalability, being fast and easy to work. The main aim of this research is using this device for firstly checking the possibility of synthesizing PSF and then improving the properties in a greener, faster and more cost effective manner compared with other conventional methods.
