Current Research Activities

The project concerns photolytic conversion of organic pollutants in water to hydrogen and carbon dioxide by mean of thin film TiO2 electrode based systems. Photoelectrochemical studies currently underway involve charge separation and the bandgap excitation of nanocrystalline TiO2 electrodes tailored with noble metal deposits, foreign atom doping as well as nano-structure.

Existing Linkages

The project has involved active collaboration with Dr Shanqing Zhang and Professor Huijun Zhao from the Centre of Aquatic Processes and Pollution at Griffith University, Gold Coast Australia.
