Current Research Activities

Research is aimed at the use of a new highly efficient method of covalent bonding, click chemistry, to develop biologically compatible thin polymer films. Combining click chemistry with the established Layer-by-Layer technique enables the production of nanoscale structures with tailored composition, thickness, size, shape and functionality. With the ability to control the film properties, such innovative materials offer potential for chemical engineering, pharmaceutical and biological applications
